Introduction
The Charter of Golden Rule Lodge No. 409, A.F. & A.M., is dated July 8th, 1885, and issued under the authority of Hugh Murray, Grand Master; Henry Robertson, Deputy Grand Master; and J.J. Mason, Grand Secretary. There
were sixteen Charter Members.
Through realignment to strengthen Freemasonry north of the Severn River, Golden Rule Lodge No. 409 was first assigned to Georgian District No. 8 , then to Nipissing No. 18, then Muskoka District 19 which later became Muskoka Parry Sound and 2014 the lodge, along with six other lodges in Muskoka Parry Sound District were assigned to the newly created District Nipissing Muskoka.
